My wife and I decided to go for a quiet drive in the countryside recently and he worked upon a quaint country town called Crickhowel. Here are some photos of our day out.
Hope you enjoy,
Have a great day.
A small day trip to the countryside.
So this weekend I decided to go to the city and watch a movie, called Deepwater Horizon. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the movie, I think it accurately showed the dangers they faced and the bravery of some of the crew, whilst also showing exactly whatthe BP executives are truly like.
Above, my wife on the way to the movies.
My wife and I decided to leave fairly early in the morning and get lunch and dinner out as a treat. So for lunch we had a burger in an American 1950’s styled rock and roll diner.
The diner was called Mattia’s diner in Cardiff, I would highly recommend it.
After the movie and some shopping decided to get some lunch in a Japanese restaurant, both of us picked Teriyaki chicken and rice with gyoza and green tea for our dinner.
So it seems like every photographer these days is posting about what gear they use and I just wanted to take a little time to cover a few things.
As you can see by my gear in the photo I have a Fujifilm xt10 camera with a xf 18-55 mm zoom lens. The camera is fantastic, with excellent quality images and really good film simulations that are very cool. I currently have a good zoom lens fitted, which is much better than the xc 16-50 mm lens it usually comes with, however I will in the future be investing in a few prime lenses as well.
When it comes to the rest of my gear I have a small tripod for travel and a larger tripod for when I am in the UK. The larger tripod isn’t anything special, it cost about £40 and does the job, whilst the travel tripod was about £10. You don’t need to have super expensive gear to be a good photographer, essentially all you need is gear that does the job.
Other than that I have some Nd filters, a 32 GB SD card and a USB shutter release cable, for long exposures.
I have a basic laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop on, but for my needs I went with old versions of the software, mainly because they are a fraction of the price whilst still meeting my needs.
So these is a list of the gear I use. I hope this helps you guys if you are looking to buy new kit. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or if you want to discuss any gear questions.
